This makes HIV/AIDS the 5th leading death among women between the ages of 25-44. In 2005, African-American and Latina women accounted for 82% of the estimated total of HIV/AIDS diagnosis and represented 24% of of all the US women diagnosed combined. In 2006, teen girls aged 13-19 represented 39% of reported AIDS cases meanwhile 69% were African-American and 19% Latina.
