July 10, 2012
Amped 4-A-Cure, Inc., in partnership with ReverbNation and LABEL Charlotte, are proud to introduce the "Amplified Global Music Fest 2012."
Following in the footsteps of the already successful program, "Music That Heals", a concert series held in the children's hospitals for the patients, family and care staff ... Amped 4-A-Cure, Inc. is excited to bring the music outside of the healthcare facilities for all of the public to enjoy and support. On October 13th, 2012 musicians and music lovers alike will join together in the fight against cancer as we unite the world through music via a 24 hour Global Music Festival.   During the 24 hour music festival, Amped 4-A-Cure, Inc. will be streaming performances LIVE for the world to see, so EVERYONE can attend this festival together from every part of the planet.  As a part of the live broadcast, an exciting segment will be broadcast from LABEL in Charlotte, NC featuring a MAJOR recording artist as part of the 24 hour live stream. The broadcast will also feature special performances by the kids of The School of Rock, which is also Amped 4-A-Cure's music partner in the "Music That Heals" program.
The organization's goal is to raise $1,000,000.00 for cancer research, early detection and prevention, so from now until the event, individuals are asked to join in the fundraising challenge.  Amped 4-a-Cure, Inc. is excited to have chosen Crowdrise as its official fundraising platform. www.crowdrise.com/amplifiedglobalmusicfest  Participants will be able to create their own Crowdrise fundraising web page complete with social media links and widgets as a part of the A4AC Global Music Fest Team.   "This is what I like to call the "Musician's Marathon.”  Instead of running for 26.2 miles, we are playing for 24 hours ... trading in the miles run for hours played."  -- Xavier Grier, President/CEO-Amped 4-a-Cure, Inc.
There is power in music and together we can show the world that MUSIC DOES HEAL!
