Smith University Grimes Lounge Theme: “A Response and Commitment to the Call” Males in Crisis: The value of youth and men to our community Strategies and Solutions In January 2009, the summit, “A Call to Action,” was held to bring together men from diverse social, political and economic backgrounds to develop a process to organize, plan and execute initiatives that would reshape our community through strategic leadership, collaboration, and collective empowerment. The summit purpose was to impact our community by focusing on shared goals and common interest for the benefit of males in the community.
