DEPR Community Charlotte Style Mag "Day of Style"

Get ready to shop, shop, shop, all in the name of charity! Charlotte's Day of STYLE is a city-wide shopping initiative that encourages Charlotteans to shop for a cause. For one day Charlotteans turn into socialites and attend the hottest boutique and in-store events to shop, mix, and mingle all in the name of charity. The event benefits Levine Children's Hospital. The Hospital leads the region in offering more than 30 specialized pediatric services including kidney, liver and heart transplants, blood and marrow transplant, cardiac and cancer care, neurosurgery, rehabilitation service, and the highest designated level of neonatal intensive care. Boutiques such as Jordanos Men's & Women's Boutique, Fresh Boutique and A Step Back in Time Vintage are the first to be announced as participating locations. So save the date, gather your friends and get ready for the biggest shopping party in the city. If you're interested in hosting a Day of STYLE at your loc

Yes, HIV/AIDS affects both men and women as well as the young and mature BUT did you know out of the 1.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS that almost 280,00 of those people are women and that the largest number of HIV/AIDS diagnosis for women is aged 15-39. This makes HIV/AIDS the 5th leading death among women between the ages of 25-44. In 2005, African-American and Latina women accounted for 82% of the estimated total of HIV/AIDS diagnosis and represented 24% of of all the US women diagnosed combined. In 2006, teen girls aged 13-19 represented 39% of reported AIDS cases meanwhile 69% were African-American and 19% Latina. On the evening of December 1, 2010, JSW Media Group along with sponsors will present The 2nd Annual Red Pump/Red Tie Affair. A night of art, glamour, music and so much more to reduce discrimination
